Sunflower Festival Preparation!

Crafting like crazy around here recently.  I am having a booth at a local festival here in Louisiana.  It is a small town event, Gilliam's Sunflower Festival.  If you blink going down the road you might miss it.  My sister is sharing the booth with me.  She will have jams, spiced nuts and plants.  It has been about 20 years since I have done any kind of craft show or festival.  My kids are 23 and 21 so you know I haven't been loafing around!  I have made lots of group gifts along the way for my daughter's dance groups as well as birthdays, grad gifts, etc.... but it was all NON-PROFIT!  Those are the best kind of gifts to make because there is a person you have in mind for the specific item but making money and doing what you like is a double bonus.
I have decided Ruby9 is my new adventure name.  I even made tags and stickers to sew and place on my items.  I have a feeling this won't be my last festival!

The items I have made so far are things I think might sell.  I made curling iron travel bags, hooded beach towels, hanging tea towels but need to make so much more!  The next project will be baby related, I know people love to buy BABY STUFF!  It's really hard to come up with items that are fun to make and I think will sell.  It is always a guessing game to what might sell.

Off to do a little more sewing today and see what I can come up with.  The festival is June 21, 2014 so time is ticking.
These are a few of the items I have ready for the festival....many more to go!

 WISH US LUCK!
